The Ark Farm is a quest for better food; we need opportunities to make better choices about the food we eat. The employees of The Ark Farm pledge to give lambs born on the property, the love and protection of their mother for 4 to 8 weeks. After which, the lambs will be on pasture with adequate rotation to insure grazing on God's green grasses - different types of grass to allow for nutritional requirements. Minerals and salt will be free choice and minimal grain will be offered to allow the body to adjust to the digestion of grain. Routine antibiotics and hormones are not be used.

The Ark Farm raises purebred white Finnsheep, which are quality animals, proven excellent for foundation stock. Our Ewes have very productive mothering abilities domesticated herding and flocking instinct. They will breed out of season, giving three birthings in two years. Our rams have proven production records. We also, offer Lacune/East Friesian/Finn crossbred stock which have colored fleeces..

Dale and Martha

Dale & Martha Livermore, Owners
Dale and Martha both grew up on dairy farms. They have been married for 54 years and are blessed with four children. Dale, a U.S. Army veteran, served in Korea. After he left the service he went to school and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from Edinboro University, Edinboro, PA and a Master of Divinity from Drew University Theological School in Madison, NJ. Martha worked as a civilian on base while Dale served in the Army. When their time in the military was over, she graduated with an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Music/Voice, Middletown, NY, and Associate Degree in Nursing, from Clarion University, Clarion, PA and is a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of PA. While serving in the ministry and working as a nurse they raised, trained and bred Morgan Horses and successfuly exhibited their show horses nationally. They co-organized and operated, with the help of their entire family, Foxview Manor, Inc. a therapeutic Riding School for physically and mentally challenged individuals. Martha felt she would better serve their clients by getting her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Special Education from Clarion University. It was during these years, working with their clients, they began questioning if there was a healthy way to eat. Thus, The Ark Farm and that quest began. Dale and Martha are retired from their respective careers and are now the owners and operators of the 200 acre Ark Farm, located in beautiful Jefferson County, Pennsylvania.
